Flow goals:

  • Show appreciation - make the customer feel recognized.
  • Customer activation and retention.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell.

Flow trigger: Placed Order

Flow filters: none (unless you want to exclude certain groups)

Flow splits: The flow is split based on customer order count (how many times the customer has purchased in their lifetime).


Customer Psychology
  • Just ordered from you (either for the first time or repeatedly)
  • Very engaged: they paid you money but haven't received the product yet - will open most things you send their way


Important Notes

Flow paths

  • This flow is split into three paths based on how many times this shopper ordered before. The messaging of the email will vary a lot based on whether it's a first-time shopper, a second-time shopper, or a third-time shopper.
  • If your product is not bought frequently and/or you sell only a few SKUs, two paths might be enough.
